A Bright, Elegant Brunch Spot

This week’s brunch adventure brought us to FRANK. FRANK is a restaurant, café, and small market in the heart of revitalized downtown Beverly.

FRANK is the newest project from renowned Chef Frank McClelland. If you have heard of Frank McClelland before it’s most likely because he ran one of the Finest Restaurants in Boston, L’Espalier, from 1988 to its closing in 2018. During his tenure at L’Eespalier, Chef McClelland essentially wrote the book for farm to table dining in Boston. He was awarded the James Beard Award in 2007 for his success.

Chef McClelland brought his farm to table playbook with him when he opened FRANK, with many of the featured menu item’s ingredients being sourced from local farmers and producers.

We tried several of those menu items, and none of them disappointed.

Essential Breakfast Sandwich: A scratch made biscuit is the star of this sandwich! The biscuit is topped with thick cut bacon, cheese, a fried egg, and to top it off a spicy aioli.

Scrambled Egg Plate: A simple meal done right by FRANK! Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar cheese, thick cut Applewood smoked bacon, and rosemary and thyme breakfast potatoes.

Pear Pancakes: Light and fluffy pancakes with hint of pear were a sweet addition to the rest of out meal!

FRANK Hamburger: My personal favorite of this brunch team! This burger was topped with Applewood smoked bacon, onion strings, and a chipotle mayonnaise! A must try if you can make it for brunch.

On your way out the door grab and iced coffee and sweet snack and you are ready to take on the day (or take a nap). Give FRANK a try!
